Airdroid is an application for android which allows you to control your android phone over the air without USB cable and drivers needed to configure your android phone.
Airdroid is a free application and currently supports Android 2.1 and up,it does not supports Android 4.0 currently but airdroid will update it soon so don't need to worry about that.
Requirements : An Android phone with Android 2.1 and up (Android 4.0 not supported), Airdroid Application,WiFi network and a PC/Mac.
Lets Get Started
- First of all connect your android phone to the WiFi network and install Airdroid app from the android market if already installed you are awesome.After that, launch the Airdroid app from your homescreen/appdrawer.
- Now Airdroid should automatically detect your WiFi network you are currently connected to :
- Now just hit the start button, then it will display the IP address and the login code :
- Just type in the IP address in your browser and then it will display a login page,at the login page just type in your code provided by Airdroid :
- After logging in it will show the homescreen where it will show various tabs like apps,music,contacts,messages,market,music etc.
- This is the Home Screen of airdroid, showing your model no.,battery status etc.Now click on the detail button on the top right of the screen :
- Just simply use this to transfer music,files,messages,photos,downloading apps from market etc. An example has been shown in the below image on sending a message using airdroid :
