How to fOrmat a PC \InstallinG an OS

Itz a lil complicaTed stuff for one who don't know how to install a Os in their PC's r Lappi's
and a lil dangerous too cause it can damage r remove all ur persent data in Ur pC if done wrong.!!

But noo need to worry , you can practice this out in a softwrare known as VirTual Pc or VmWare
deez r d softwares that function as a fake PC on your desktop screen..
But u can use same like as a normaL pC n noo need to worry cuz it creates all things virtual not in reeality which is stored in uR hard disk.!!

1st of all U need a bootable windows \linux Cd \DvD.! if u dunn have u can ask in help desk
den You should have a cD\DvD rom
n a lil gutz.!!


First of all make backUp of all Ur DatA of drive u wish to format.!!
the winows one is commonly c:
so it includes all data of
---> c drive
---> desktop
---> my documents
---> my music
---> my pictures
n all installed data.!! means softwares games n all.!!

1st f all restart ur pc n open BIOS setup
it is open at d 1st stage of PC starting by pressing Del or F2 or F8
all diff Pc have their own ones.!!
u can see the key to open it.!!
1. open CmoS Setup den OpeN ---> Advanced BIOs FeAtureS

2.Den change The bootiNg Drive Order TO

a). CD\DVD rom
b). Hard Disk
c). Floppy Drive

den save n exit

3. Den insert windows Dvd\cD n restarT ur pC.!!
u'll find sumthyn like dis.!!

press any key to b0oT from DVD\CD

but U HAVE TO DO IT ONLY 1 TIME in every Format
now
a) WINDOWS XP SP2 SP3 SP1 HOME n ALL vERSIONS OF XP
if u r installing windows XP u will find sumthyn like dis..!! after 3rd step

after that ur computer will load all necessary files 4 installing,
which looks like this..

4. Den after loading a screen will appear like this

You will be presented with the End User Licensing Agreement. Press F8 to accept and continue

then after accepting if you have an already running windows you'll find ur partitions here like this

If u want to create more drives using space of older drives you can delete your drives here
warning: It will permanently remove all your data on that drive

to create new drives
simply highlight the drives n press D to delete the drives n if the unpartitioned space is left you can use it.!!

simply highlight the unpartitioned space n press C to create an new drive with your wanted drive size.!!

if u dont want anything changed
Select Partition 1 (C: Drive) and press Enter.

Then you will be asking to how to format the drive means which file system
select quick NTFS ( cause it has more features n security ) and press enter
Windows will now start formatting drive C: and start copying setup files as shown on the two images below :

now let the files copy n the pC restarts automatically

NOTE:THIS WILL COME AGAIN
DO NOT PRESS ANY KEY FOR THE SECOND TIME

In few seconds setup will continue. Windows XP Setup wizard will guide you through the setup process of gathering information about your computer.

Choose your region and language. in here and continue

Type in your name and organization.

Enter your product key.

NOW
Name the computer, and enter an Administrator password. ( if u dont want password you can leave it )

Enter the correct date, time and choose your time zone.

For the network setting choose typical and press next.

den let the files copy n windows installed.!!

now let the files copy n the pC restarts automatically

NOTE:THIS WILL COME AGAIN
DO NOT PRESS ANY KEY FOR THE THIRD TIME

Finally Windows will start and present you with a Welcome screen. Click next to continue.

Choose 'not right now ' and press next.

SKIP the step

Add users that will sign on to this computer and click next.

You will get a Thank you screen to confirm setup is complete. Click finish.

Log in, to your PC for the first time.
n install all Your drivers for the PC ( a CD\DVD is provided you fir the drivers )

and restart your pC
